Paul Smith x Hummingbird x Porsche 911 Art Car

This week, our Hummingbird x Paul Smith bike met its four-wheeled relative at the garage of one of our new customers.

Paul Smith Porsche 911 owner, James Turner, has bought the only bike which matches and fits in his car, the Hummingbird x Paul Smith.

James, the owner of Sports Purpose, a rare Porsche specialist based at Bicester Heritage, created his own 1965 Porsche 911 2.0 in the Paul Smith Artist Stripe last year. The car raced at both Le Mans Classic and the Goodwood Festival of Speed and most recently at the Bicester Super Scramble.

You will struggle to name a better duo. As James says, “Hummingbird even fits perfectly under the bonnet, just as it was meant to be!”.

Only 50 bespoke Paul Smith x Hummingbird bikes have been produced. Order yours by clicking the button below.

The Hummingbird x Carradice Carry Bag

Carradice are based in Nelson Lancashire in the North of England and have been making bicycle accessories there for more than 80 years. A traditional British brand who share the same values as Hummingbird, in particular a passion for design and quality.

They were the first company we contacted to design and  develop a bespoke carry bag for Hummingbird.

We spent a day at the factory with David Chadwick, who took over running the business from his father in 1994. David expertly measured up the Hummingbird to create the pattern required to make a bespoke bag.

Every consideration was taken to make the bag perfect in terms of protecting the Hummingbird, maximising its functionality and looking great.

The bag fits the Hummingbird perfectly. It features an internal slot for the seat post and a pouch for the quick release pedals. It is made out of a durable cordura with waterproof two way zips and is padded to protect the bike in transit. There are reinforced handle grips and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Each bag is hand finished and signed by the member of the Carradice team who made it. We are so proud of the partnership we decided to dual brand the bag using embossed leather patches and used the Carradice Heritage Union Jack Woven patch as a final detail.
